Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe and Promwad announced a strategic agreement
|
Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) and electronics design hîuse Promwad today announced a strategic agreement aimed at the promotion of the Linux-based "JADE" system chip/processor automotive platform to the Russian and CIS market.
Fujitsu Microelectronics is a leading global semiconductor supplier of automotive dashboard ICs and graphic controllers whose experience will be strengthened by local technical support from Promwad as well enhanced by supplementary platform customization and adaptation services.
Electronic products based on the "JADE" platform will allow Russian auto and truck manufacturers to remain competitive in their own local market as well as helping them expand into external ones.
"JADE" (MB86R01) is a system-on-chip with 320MHz ARM926-EJS core featured graphical co-processor Coral-PA supporting up to 1280x1024 LCD resolution and 3D OpenGL-ES graphics.
Numerous interfaces such as DDR2, USB2.0 Host, USB2.0 Device, SD card, IDE, I2S and I2C are supported.
Furthermore, the system offers automotive specific interfaces such as 2xCAN port and MediaLB.
Together these capabilities make the "JADE" platform an ideal choice for automotive multimedia and dashboard applications.
