On March, 5th there ended the biggest in Europe exhibition devoted to embedded systems – Embedded World 2009 – held in Nuremberg, Germany. Promwad Innovation Company together with Publishing House “Elektronika” took active part in the exhibition: company’s representative made a report at the forum devoted to the overview of electronics market in Russia. During the three days of the exhibition we held a range of business negotiations with representatives of foreign companies – both new companies and constant partners of Promwad Innovation Company. Promwad Company completed the project of working prototype of video recorder for recording in JPEG2000 format on the basis of BF533 EZ-KIT Lite from Analog Devices, Inc. under Linux OS. The device is designed to digitize received PAL/NTSC video signal, compress and store it, and transmit audio/video data received from an analog audio/video source.

Vacation \ Eastern Europe 2008» Conference
A special edition of “Network solutions” magazine devoted to IV International “Linux Vacation \ Eastern Europe 2008” conference was recently published. The conference took place in June 2008 aiming to promoting ideas of developments on the basis of free software.
Promwad Company has finished the development of a multimedia control panel prototype for “Smart Home” systems control. The device is based on Cirrus Logic EP9307 processor running under Embedded Linux operating system. This project was performed for a European company engaged in “Smart Home” automation solutions.

The first issue of New Electronics of Russia, 2008 industry annual was published recently. From now on, this annual becomes a part of the project of the same name and reflects the progress of modern electronics industry in Russia. By customer demand the Promwad company has developed an WiFi-ZigBee-USB expansion daughter board for popular development kit from Analog Devices ADSP-BF533 EZ-KIT Lite.
Promwad company specialists developed, manufactured experimental models and performed bring-up of evaluation board on the basis of Cirrus Logic EP9307 processor. We developed the board with the aim to evaluate processor’s performance and its application in client projects with the use of PBD technology.
