Promwad: we support democratic values and rights of the citizens of Belarus

14 August 2020

The situation in Belarus has left no one indifferent: emotions are boiling inside the country; solidarity actions are taking place all over the world. The Promwad team is outraged by the brutal suppression of peaceful protests and violation of the right of citizens of Belarus to freedom of expression. In addition, for several days, the whole country had limited access to the Internet, which interrupted the stable work of technology companies, including ours.

Promwad management and employees joined the open letters and appeals of the business community and tech experts of Belarus. We are proud of the achievements of the national high-tech sphere, and it is painful to see the injustice and cruelty to which our fellow citizens, including the best minds of the country, are subjected.

And although the Coronavirus has proved the effectiveness of remote work beyond the borders, our engineers want to do what they love here in Belarus, without the atmosphere of fear and blood.

For 16 years, we have been designing new devices and software for our clients. Promwad has been cooperating with companies from all over the world. We want to preserve this valuable expertise and continue our work within the High Technology Park in Minsk, where we have favorable conditions for tech companies. To work properly, we need to stop violence, support democratic values, and respect citizens' rights.

Our engineering team remains in touch with our foreign customers. And although it is hard for us (we, as well as the whole Belarusian nation, are now overwhelmed with emotions), we continue working and fulfilling our obligations under the projects, because we highly appreciate the trust placed in our company and Belarusian engineers in general.

Thank you for any support of the Belarusian people!
