Transferring an Automotive 360 Vision System to Lattice FPGA Solutions
Our client, a supplier of all-around digital vision systems for automobiles, faced vendor lock-in due to discontinued components in their 360 vision system. Our task was to find suitable replacements and update the system to meet international quality and safety standards.
Our engineers used a low-cost Crosslink-NX FPGA from Lattice and an S32K228 microcontroller from NXP, supporting MIPI DSI, MIPI CSI, CAN, and USB interfaces.

We chose the Lattice CrossLink-NX FPGA for its:
- suitability in vision and data processing,
- support for MIPI CSI and DSI via D-PHY,
- and availability of IP cores for camera and display integration.
The result was a 360 digital vision system compliant with ASPICE CL2 and ASIL-B. Additionally, we provided full technical support and access to necessary documentation.

Wireless All-Round Camera System for Large Vehicles
A leading European manufacturer of automotive video cameras approached us to modernise a system for large vehicles, such as trucks and construction equipment. The goal was to eliminate wires and simplify the system's installation and maintenance.
We developed a complete CMS consisting of four WiFi cameras, a monitor, and a control unit. The system supports up to 16 display modes, including night mode, which automatically switches depending on lighting conditions, IR illumination, and picture-in-picture (PiP).
The updated solution has reduced the installation time from eight to four hours.

System components:
- Four Full HD cameras with a 170-degree wide-angle view, night vision function, and wireless data transmission to the ECU.
- Display: 7" HD monitor with LVDS interface, high brightness and touchscreen.
- ECU:
-  NXP S32K microcontroller;
- Lattice FPGA;
- RTOS;
- Interfaces: CAN, Automotive Ethernet, WiFi;
- Programming languages: C++, Rust, VHDL.

Development of Control System for Digital Mirrors and Cameras
We developed a solution for the management and integration of digital mirrors and camera monitoring for a European Tier 1 company.
The platform is easy to integrate with any vehicle and supports up to four cameras: two in digital mirrors, one front-view and one rear-view.
The ECU is designed to monitor all cameras simultaneously and provide multiple display options, including IVI displays in the vehicle.

Implemented system features:
- Visual warning of obstacles in the rearview area.
- PiP Parking (Picture-in-Picture): rear camera display with additional on-screen information to facilitate parking.
- Flashing visualisation: on-screen turn signal activation.
- Dynamic parking lines that respond to the steering wheel for precise parking.
- ASIL Safety Level B: meets high safety standards.
System components:
- Cameras: 5 Mpx (2560 x 1920 px per unit).
- ECU: NXP S32K microcontroller | FPGA | RTOS | Interfaces: CAN, automotive Ethernet | Programming languages: C, C++, VHDL | Control of 4 cameras and 2 displays (LVDS/MIPI-DSI).
