IBC 2024: AI-Driven and Gesture-Controlled Solutions for TV & Broadcasters

Promwad showcased its latest AI-driven solutions at IBC 2024. We presented a demo of a gesture-controlled football game, a shoppable video application with product search and purchasing, and a mobile application for one-click streaming.

Visitors to the company's stand in hall 8 in the Made in Germany section could test an AI-based football game to experience the possibilities of gesture control. Players were shown penalty scenarios where they chose a segment of the gate where the ball would hit, and then AI calculated how close their prediction was and provided a commentary on the result.

The Promwad engineers used fragments of real broadcasts to demonstrate the potential of AI to customise content based on user gestures dynamically.

With AI and gesture control, users engage in a dynamic and immersive experience to navigate different content layers, access additional information, or even influence the storyline. This approach can be applied to analyse sports events to optimise game tactics and training processes, create personalised viewer experiences on smart TVs, enhance interactive marketing campaigns, and improve educational content.

A viewer watches the video and notices a stylish person – musician, actor or TV presenter – then he or she launches clothes search scanner and gets a list of available models from online stores

Promwad also presented a shoppable video application allowing viewers to search for and buy products directly from video streaming (straight from popular TV series, music videos, and TV shows). With computer vision and deep learning algorithms, telecom providers and TV operators can now increase their revenue with shop referral programmes and increased viewer engagement.   

The third broadcasting solution showcased by Promwad was OneClick Streamer, a mobile app for journalists and bloggers that starts live streaming with one click, eliminating the complexities of traditional streaming setups.
