Promwad at electronica 2026: Human vs AI on a Live Inspection Line

Promwad at electronica 2026

From 10 to 13 November, Promwad is exhibiting at electronica 2026 at Messe München, at the stand of our partner Videology in Hall A4, Stand 467. Together we are running an interactive edge AI demo that puts visitors against our detection model on a simulated production line.

At the stand you can play against it. A simulated line sends parts past the camera, some of them defective, and you press a button when you spot the defect. The scoreboard shows whether you beat the model.

Live Demo: Visual Defect Detection at the Edge

Live Demo: Visual Defect Detection at the Edge

In the demo, an animated production line runs parts past a Videology camera while an edge AI model watches the stream for defects. Under the hood it is the same stack we work with in real industrial inspection: a detection model our engineers trained for these parts, running on Videology's SCAiLX platform. The model recognises three defect classes on moving parts: missing components, damaged parts and colour mismatches.

Everything runs on the module. Frames go straight from the sensor to the on-board NPU, so no video leaves the device and the network cannot add to the latency.

Live Demo: Visual Defect Detection at the Edge

The line in the demo does not physically exist, so there was no footage to train on. We rendered it in Blender, which gave us exact labels for every defect and control over lighting, camera angle and how often defects appear. On a customer's own line we build the dataset from their parts on their conveyor instead.

Ready to Build Your Own AI System on SCAiLX?

Promwad can help you:

  • Train an AI model for your parts and your defect list.
  • Adapt an existing model to the SCAiLX platform.
  • Optimise software for on-device performance and low latency.
  • Support the project from PoC to deployment.

Our team is at the stand all four days. Whether you want to inspect parts at the edge, move an existing model to on-device inference or find a partner to build the full system, come and talk it through with us in Munich. Book a slot in advance, or simply drop by.
