Ethernet is a batch network technology for data transmission at different speeds in local area networks. It was developed in the end of 1970-s by Xerox. Ethernet defines cable connections and electric signals at physical layer, batch format and environment access control protocols – at data link layer of OSI model. In the 1990-s it has become one of the most widespread technology of local area networks.
