We are looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer (Power Meter / Power Quality) to join our team. What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain embedded Linux applications and daemons (C/C++)
  • Integrate and implement communication protocols: DLMS/COSEM, M-Bus, Wireless M-Bus, PL
  • Work with IEC 61850 and related standards for smart grid communication
  • Develop and debug kernel modules or adapt existing ones if needed
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to support power measurement systems
  • Write and maintain device-level software, including low-level drivers and interfaces
  • Optimize system performance, manage memory and communication timing under Linux 

What we would like to see in you:

  • At least 5 years of experience in embedded Linux development
  • Strong skills in C/C++ in a Linux user-space and kernel-space environment
  • Experience with protocols such as:
    • DLMS/COSEM
    • M-Bus / Wireless M-Bus
    • Power Line Communication (PLC)
    • IEC 61850
  • A solid understanding of Linux internals, kernel modules, and device trees
  • Hands-on experience with cross-compilation, build systems (e.g., Yocto, Buildroot)
  • Familiarity with debugging tools (GDB, strace, perf), scripting (Bash, Python is a plus)
  • Ability to work with schematics and hardware documentation

 

Will be a plus:

  • Experience in power quality or energy metering systems
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards for embedded devices
  • Knowledge of real-time aspects in Linux (PREEMPT_RT, etc.)
  • Experience with industrial fieldbus or SCADA integration
