Electronics certification testing

Product Certification is the procedure of conformity assessment, whereby independent from the manufacturer and the consumer organization certifies in writing, that the product meets the described requirements to quality and safety. Our approach to certification is a complete solution of all possible problems in the area of ​​certification:

  • Certifying body selection
  • Preparation and submission of application for the certification
  • Preparation of all necessary documents, including their translation into the needed language
  • Delivery of the product samples to an accredited laboratory for certification tests conduction, as well as control over the tests conduction and the certificate issuance
  • Verification of the received test reports and a product certificate

Promwad’s testing and QA department as well as hardware development department have deep expertise in matters of certification according to the standards of CE, FCC, RST, etc. Therefore all company developments are implemented taking into consideration all these requirements.

We work with leading laboratories in Eastern Europe to conduct all needed tests. One of our main partner laboratories is five minutes from our design house, so that allows us to test our devices as often as it is necessary.

Laboratory accreditation

Our main partner laboratory has following accreditation:

  • ISO/IEC 17025 “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories” – the European standard widely accepted throughout the world
  • ISO 9001 “Quality management systems” – a thoroughly documented quality system

Area of laboratory accreditation includes testing for compliance of the technical parameters of the radio interfaces, safety and EMC (R&TTE 1999/5/EC, LVD 2006/95/EC, EMC 2004/108/EC and other directives):

  • Radios of all types (including radio and television)

Laboratory equipment

The laboratory is equipped with modern measuring and testing equipment and has a highly qualified staff. Equipment used includes but not limited to the following ones:

  • Anritsu MS2687B – spectrum analyzer up to 30 GHz with GSM / GPRS / EDGE, UMTS, cdma2000 analysis options
  • Anritsu MS2691A – signal analyzer up to 13 GHz. Allows for in-depth testing of radio signals
  • Anritsu MT8815B – universal GSM, UMTS, cdma2000 base station simulator
  • R&S FSL6 – mobile spectrum analyzer for up to 6 GHz with integrated preamplifier
  • Anritsu MT8815 – GSM / GPRS / EDGE, UMTS / HSDPA, cdma2000 base station simulator with a shielded Anritsu MA8120E box
  • Wainwright Instruments Filters – bandstop filters to suppress Uplink channel for GSM, UMTS, cdma2000 standards
  • Agilent N5181A – radio signal generator up to 3 GHz
  • GTEM Test Cell – anechoic GTEM type chamber, certified up to 1 GHz for radio communication equipment special research and EMC testing
  • Wilteck 4032 – multimeter for research of analog radios parameters
  • National Instruments: PXIe-1075, PXIe-8106, PXIe-5673, PXIe-5663, PXI-2596 – PXI format equipment. 18 slots chassis PXI Express controller with up to 6.6 GHz / 100 MHz vector signal generator and up to 6.6 GHz / 50 MHz vector signal analyzer. Together with the special software, allows to measure the WiFi, WiMax, GSM, UMTS and Bluetooth radio interfaces
  • York EMC CNE V – noise generator (up to 1 GHz)
  • ETS Lindgren HI 6005 – electromagnetic field probe (up to 6 GHz)
  • OPHIR 7002, OPHIR 5084 – RF power amplifiers (up to 2500 MHz, with a maximum output power of 50 W)
  • Agilent U2004A – power meter (up to 6 GHz)
  • FCC-801-T8-RJ45, FCC-801-AF4, FCC-801-M2-16A – coupling / decoupling device for testing ports steadiness to interference, induced by wire interfaces
  • HA 1600A – harmonic and power quality analyzer, etc.
