Promwad Secured Another Intel FPGA Design-Win for Pro A/V & Broadcast Equipment Manufacturer

A prominent manufacturer of professional A/V and broadcast equipment approached Promwad to design a next-generation Intel FPGA-based solution. Being a certified Intel design partner and a proven expert in video streaming solutions and adaptive computing systems, we secured a design win.

We designed a compact solution that provides a professional real-time way to exchange high-definition signals. It is a bi-directional single-link to the quad-link converter. It helps to avoid transformation loss for signals. We built it on Intel Cyclone 10 GX.

We provided schematic and PCB design along with software development for this 3G/12G SDI gearbox. It makes conversion of the SDI video streams:

  • 12G (2SI) >> 4x3G (2SI);
  • 12G (2SI) >> 4x3G (SQD);
  • 4x3G (2SI) >> 12G (2SI);
  • 4x3G (SQD) >> 12G (2SI).

The market shows a growing demand for terminal equipment for the Professional Television Broadcast and Audio/Video markets.
