Multi-Converter: Smart Energy Management

With Promwad, you can design advanced high-level control units (HLC) for multi-converters, ensuring efficient energy management in modern DC microgrids. The multi-converter enables bi-directional energy flow from solar, wind, and thermal generators, supporting up to 30 connections for residential and industrial use.

 

HLC with modular design ensures scalability and efficiency across a wide voltage range of 10–180 V. The high-level control unit (HLC) provides advanced connectivity through RS485 Modbus, CAN, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C, while the device can be easily configured either locally via a browser or remotely through a mobile app.

Multi-Converter Architecture

The system comprises interconnected components designed for efficient power management and communication:

  • PCU: MCU-based power unit with DC/DC modules and LLC, inverters 
  • HLC: High-level controller on base of MPU SODIMM with support for communication protocols. 
  • Communication network: UART or RS-485 between HLC and LLC. 
  • Android application: Basic Wi-Fi configuration and device monitoring.
